Like many of the businesses, Robert Shelton has expanded his role since starting at the firm in 1993. Rob had been fascinated by business practice and structures since his early days, and saw accounting as a natural path to follow his passion.
Following DFK's theme of serving small-to-medium business in Canberra, Rob sees this scale as his specialty. "We're here to talk to our customers in plain-english and practical advice. 

If we can reduce the complexity of business and tax advice, then we're doing our job." 

Since assuming the role of Managing Director in 2008, Rob has focused on keeping DFK Everalls' core values intact as the business grows and new clients continue to partner with the local firm. 

"We've always had an open door policy, and we certainly encourage workplace diversity. Our firm is thriving because we recognise people's skills and capacities, and encourages them to develop in a welcoming and nurturing environment. It's simply the right way to do business. 

"There is great benefit in being open and accessible – both for clients and for ourselves. We find that clients come to treat us as friends as well as advisors. We often get postcards when they're on holiday, which is such a compliment for us given what we are working to achieve. 

An avid traveller himself, Rob's globe-trotting has allowed him to see places as far flung as Norway and South America. Next on the list might be southern Africa. "I love waterfalls. If I could see Victoria Falls (on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia), that would be amazing."

It's true that the best advice for business comes from someone who has had their own business. This is the case for Melissa Healy, who used to run her own accounting practice and has held key roles for other small businesses in Canberra over time.  Melissa joined DFK Everalls in 2000 becoming a director in 2003. 

Melissa loves the challenge of working with new and small enterprises to help them launch and grow their businesses.   Melissa is also a fully licenced financial planner through Everalls Wealth Management and having assisted her clients to increase the value of their business she loves making sure that their wealth is protected and that they are on the right track to being able to retire gracefully in due course. 

Melissa hosts our regular in-house Boardroom Briefings for clients that provide in-depth but Plain English information about various business & financial planning issues, as well as bringing clients together to discuss other ideas and opportunities. 

Much like Rob, Melissa also loves to get on a plane to enjoy other cultures but otherwise loves spending the weekends on her cattle farm south of Braidwood.

Marnie Braithwaite

Marnie joined DFK Everalls in March 2013.

She has been working in chartered accounting firms since 1997, working both locally and in Sydney. 

Marnie studied at the Australian National University obtaining a Bachelor in Commerce and also a Bachelor in Economics.  She then completed her Chartered Accountant qualifications, and more recently a Financial Planning Diploma.

Marnie is one of our senior managers.  She is responsible for guiding and managing her team of accountants and workflow for each respective job. Marnie specialises in problem solving and helping her business clients achieve certainty in their tax and accounting obligations.

In her spare time she enjoys a busy life with 2 energetic boys, and trying to keep the family's sausage dog Basil's destructive tendencies down to a bare minimum.

Prichie joined DFK Everalls in 1999 after five years working in a small Canberra accounting firm in Canberra and three years overseas accounting experience.

Prichie looks after a number of Self- Managed Superannuation Fund, Business and Individual clients. Prichie is passionate of helping her clients achieve their tax and financial goals. 

Prichie managed a team of accountants, help them grow and achieve their full potential. 

She is married to Martin and has two wonderful daughters, Natalie and Abigail. Prichie loves spending time in the garden, enjoy sewing, reading and embroidery.

During the time Lynette has worked for Everalls she has "graduated" from a junior accountant to a manager assisting the Directors with their more involved company and taxation clients including assistance with various MYOB products. 

In her spare time Lynette enjoys playing hockey, swimming and spending time with her husband and daughters.

Karen commenced with DFK Everalls in office administration and accounts in November 2000 after previously working in a small accounting firm in Queanbeyan. After 12 months Karen moved across to assist in Taxation and was trained in Tax compliance. 

Karen spent 2 years living on Christmas Island and we were pleased when she returned to work with DFK Everalls in 2006. Karen is now a Client Manager who is responsible for a large number of our personal tax clients with investments, sole traders and consultants. 

In her spare time Karen enjoys spending time with her 2 children, following the Sydney Swans and Brumbies and spending time outdoors.

Marianne Keet

Marianne Keet 

Marianne joined the DFK Everalls team in 1978 and has stayed with us through our firm evolutions and moves. 

Marianne attained her accounting degree while working part-time with Everalls and since then has qualified as a CPA. 

Marianne mainly deals with the preparation of financial accounts for small businesses and for all our superannuation funds.

She is a member of the Canberra East Rotary Club. If in her spare time she enjoys swimming, cross-stitch and going to the coast.

Jason joined DFK Everalls in June 2010 as an accountant after gaining several years of experience in accounting firms in Canberra and also working for a large constructing company. Jason is a qualified Chartered Accountant. 

At DFK Everalls Jason assists our directors with tax and accounting work for our business clients and other business services. He manages a range of business and individual accounts. 

Outside of work, Jason is a huge fan of the Geelong Cats and loves watching them play on the weekend with family and friends. He also enjoys playing golf and going out to dinner with friends.

Anne joined DFK Everalls as an accountant in July 2011 after several years of experience in Sydney at Travis and Travis and in the UK at Lloyds Banking Group where she was an accountant. 

Anne graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University. She has also completed the Chartered Accountants Program.
She works closely with the managers at DFK Everalls to prepare accounts for businesses and superannuation funds in particular. Anne has international experience as an accountant, bringing perspective and insight into all her work. 

Anne enjoys being active playing sport and loves to travel.

Robert joined the firm in July 2011 as an accountant after four years working at two local accounting firms as a business services accountant. Robert graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Financial Administration from the University of new England in Armidale. 

Previously Robert owned and managed an Import/Export company for eleven years. 

In his spare time he loves to ride his bike, woodworking and reading a good novel.

Melissa joined DFK Everalls in March 2011 and is an accountant. She has recently completed her Charted Accountant (CA) qualification and is our office Cloud Accounting guru. She has helped us merge many happy clients to XERO and other cloud software. 

Melissa enjoys spending time with friends, going out for dinner as well as travelling to her favourite destination - Bali!

Cathy joined DFK Everalls in October 2004 as our Bookkeeper for all our clients. 

Cathy managed her own small family business for a period of twelve years and prior to this worked in the Australian Public Service in management and administration.
Cathy has excellent skills in administrative management and bookkeeping. Her previous varying roles have provided her with insight and understanding into different industries, which has given her an understanding of small business processes through to large Government operations. 

Cathy enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves partaking in outdoor activities such as camping, bushwalking and bike riding.

Jessica joined DFK Everalls in July 2014 as a graduate accountant and is currently assisting managers with individual tax returns and other accounting projects. 

Jessica graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting and has started her Chartered Accountants program. 

Jessica has previously worked as an Assurance Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Korea and she is bilingual in English and Korean. Her international experience and insight is a valuable factor to our team. 

Outside of the office she enjoys cooking and entertaining, watching EPL games and catching up with friends and family.

Mala joined DFK Everalls in July 2014 with a bachelor degree from the ANU. She is currently undergoing her post graduate studies to become a Chartered Accountant. 

In her free time, Mala enjoys watching movies and reading. She also loves to travel and are always looking forward to the summer season where she can have some quality beach time. During her time at university, Mala has been a mentor for the ANU SIGN Program, helping and assisting students to adapt to the University lifestyle. 

Now she continues to balance her practical work life with the remainder of her studies

Mandy joined the Manuka office team in October 1994 in clerical support. 

Mandy works 2 days a week maintaining the database, working with Tax Audit Shield and general support. 

Mandy is a mum of 4 children and in her spare time she enjoys playing music, scrap booking, card making and watching her beautiful children grow.

Vicki is our Personal Assistant to our Directors at DFK Everalls. 

Vicki brings a huge amount of experience and knowledge in managing an executive team having previously worked at Everall Merrett & Mann in Manuka and Kambah where she was responsible for office admin and management.

Vicki's many years of working in the accounting and financial planning industry, has made her a valuable asset not only to our directors with their personal daily management, but to the admin and support team where she contributes insight into effective operative processes.

Having worked at DFK Everalls since 2006, she understands the company and the high level of professionalism we expect and deliver to all clients. 

Vicki's cheery personality and willingness to help all staff in the office is one of her best assets. Her high stand of professionalism and company values lead our whole team attitude.

Coleen is our Receptionist at DFK Everalls. 

Coleen is from Canberra and joined Everalls in 2013. 

Prior to joining our admin team she has worked for government and not for profit organisations in a variety of administration and reception roles.
Coleen brings a wealth of knowledge about office management and administration to our team. 

Her eye for detail and organisations of the front reception and admin processes are her key responsibilities in the office.
